Flagstaff has family friendly fun all year round... and lots of it is free, the rest is really low cost!

Easter Eggstraveganza - Easter weekend, free event with kid-focus hosted by the city.

Soar Into Spring - Annual free kite festival at the end of April hosted by the city at Foxglenn Park.

Thursdays on the Square - Free music on Thursday nights on Heritage Square downtown from April through September, depending on the weather.

Armed Forces Day Parade - Downtown on Armed Forces Day in May.


Zuni Festival: Fourth weekend in May at the Museum of Northern Arizona.

Flagstaff Fine Arts &Crafts Festival - Every Memorial Day Weekend, free to attend, at Wheeler Park downtown.

Movies on the Square - Every summer May through September free family-friendly movies are shown downtown in Heritage Square.

Teddy Bear Picnic - Every June (date varies) free event hosted by the public library at Wheeler Park downtown. Stories told. Bring your own lunch, bears and picic blanket.

Concerts in the Park - Every Wednesday in June and July. Free concert in Wheeler park. Very family-friendly.

Flagstaff Pine Country Pro Rodeo - Second weekend of June in Fort Tuthill County Park.

Flagstaff Community Markets-  June through October buy fresh fruits and veggies at this outdoor market, generally held downtown near City Hall.

Hopi Festival: First weekend in July at the Museum of Northern Arizona.

Independence Day Parade - Parade downtown with floats, generally on the Fourth of July, but sometimes its on the nearest Saturday.

Summer Pops at the Pine Mountain Amphitheater - July 3 and Labor Day in Fort Tuthill County Park.

Northern Arizona Celtic Festival - In July each year in Floxglenn Park.

Arizona Cardinals Training Camp - End of July into mid-August on the Northern Arizona University campus. It's free!

Navajo Festival: End of July/beginning of August at the Museum of Northern Arizon.


Art in the Park - Labor Day Weekend in Wheeler Park downtown. Free to attend.

Route 66 Days Festival -Second weekend in September. A look at classic cars with free events all over town.

Festival of Science - End of September/early October, many events around town, some are free.

Halloween Harvest - Free event hosted by the city Halloween weekend (exact day varies but generally the Saturday nearest Halloween).

Celebraciónes de la Gente (Meso-American Festival): Last weekend of October at the Museum of Northern Arizon.

Winter Wonderland Celebration - Generally the first Saturday in December. Free event hosted by the city. Take photos with Santa and more!

Northern Lights Holiday Parade - Saturday in early December at night. Free parade downtown. Floats are light up with Christmas lights!

New Year's Eve Pinecone Drop - New Year's Eve outside The Weatherford Hotel downtown. There are always two pine cone drops that night, including an early one with a family focus.
